A new millennium had begun and WWE, for the 16th edition of WrestleMania, forgot that singles matches are the bread and butter of professional wrestling. The company didn't present a single typical singles match on the show and the only match that came close was the Catfight which technically was a one-on-one affair.

WWE were as hot as anything heading into WrestleMania 2000 and expectations were high for the event. 2000 was also a banger year for the company but WrestleMania 2000 was a big disappointment, with the main event being engulfed in McMahon family drama while the rest of the card was bang average outside of the excellent Triangle Ladder Match.
