For the first time in company history, WWE had Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan in the same promotion. Did Vince McMahon have two of the biggest stars in pro wrestling history face each other at WrestleMania? No. That would have been too easy.
That doesn't mean Ric Flair didn't do something worthwhile at the Showcase of the Immortals as he had a widely praised match. Hulk Hogan, meanwhile, found himself in a match that shouldn't have closed out WrestleMania 8.
