Raja Jackson - the son of Rampage Jackson - will be charged over his attack of Syko Stu at a KnokX Pro Wrestling event on Saturday, August 23.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office told the LA Times that Jackson will be charged with one count of felony battery that caused serious bodily injury and one count of misdemeanour battery. Prosecutors are also seeking a sentencing enhancement as Jackson caused great bodily injury to Syko Stu (real name Stuart Smith). Jackson was previously arrested on Thursday, September 18 over his attack of Syko Stu.

Raja Jackson attacked Syko Stu on August 23 in a planned run-in gone wrong, first knocking Stu unconscious with a slam before punching him 21 times. Stu was hospitalised for a week following the incident.

The attack came after an incident earlier in the night when Stu, who mistook Jackson for a fellow wrestler, hit the son of Rampage Jackson with a beer can while backstage at the pro wrestling event. Jackson, who was streaming on Kick throughout the night, immediately became angry and Stu apologised several times after he realised Raja was not a wrestler. Jackson initially refused to shake Stu's hand but he ultimately did so after it was decided Jackson would run in during Stu's match, turning the incident into a pro wrestling angle.

AJ Mana, who invited Raja to the show, later encouraged Jackson to "give Stu a receipt" and Jackson replied that he would be happy as long as he "gets his lick back." Raja only became increasingly angry as the night continued due to comments on his Kick stream from viewers, while Rampage called his son and allegedly made several homophobic comments about professional wrestling. Raja then noted shortly before the planned run-in that he was going to hit Syko Stu as hard as he could until he was pulled away.

The fallout from the incident saw KnokX Pro be dropped by the WWE ID programme. AJ Mana was also suspended from his real-life job.
