AJ Mana has walked back his claim that he was fired from his day job following the serious incident involving Raja Jackson at a KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy event on Saturday, August 23.
Mana initially said after the incident in a profanity-laced tirade that he had been "let go" from his day job. However, Mana has now noted on Something to Wrestle that he is still employed, but he has been asked to stay away for the time being.
"When it comes to my shoot day job, because there's no conviction here. On my behalf, there's no crime that I actually committed. It was more so me bringing bad attention. They said, 'We saw this thing on TMZ about you being an accessory to an attempted murder and we just can't have that traffic come our way. So you're not technically fired but we're not really asking you to come back to work until this dissipates,'" Mana said, before apologising about his previous tirade.
Raja Jackson punched an unconscious Syko Stu 21 times at a Knokx Pro event on August 23 in a planned spot that went too far. Following a backstage incident earlier in the night in which Syko Stu hit Raja Jackson with a beer can due to believing he was a fellow wrestler, it was agreed Jackson would interfere in Stu's match.
AJ Mana encouraged Raja Jackson to give Stu a receipt, although Mana later claimed that he was in character during the Twitch stream.
