Randy Orton is set to return to WWE imminently, with the ‘Viper’ expected to have a major match at WrestleMania 41.

Orton has been off WWE TV since November 2024, but a report from PWInsider suggests the multi-time world champion will be back in the mix around March before WWE’s European tour gets underway on March 14. Plans are for Orton to wrestle at Mania XLI, with a singles grudge match against Kevin Owens likely.

Owens wrote Orton off TV on SmackDown in November with a piledriver, with WWE stating Orton had suffered a ‘cervical cord neurapraxia’, although the injury is believed to have been kayfabe. Owens is set to wrestle former tag partner Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber in Toronto on March 1, and it remains to be seen if Orton returns at the show.

A surefire future WWE Hall of Famer, Orton put pen to paper on a new WWE contract in August 2024, with Orton set to remain part of WWE until 2029 at the very least. Orton last wrestled on the October 25, 2024 edition of WWE SmackDown, with Orton and Cody Rhodes teaming to defeat the Imperium team of Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser.
