Another match has been added to the WrestleMania 41 card as WWE approaches its trip to the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 19 and 20 next month, as Randy Orton and Kevin Owens will go one-on-one at the show.
On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Bologna, Italy at the Unipol Arena, Randy Orton kicked off the show and intended to deliver a promo, but he was immediately cut off by Kevin Owens. He tried to make amends with Orton after their recent troubles, pitching an idea for them to go after the WWE Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 41.
Orton stopped him in his tracks, issuing a fair share of insults before then stating that he had a better idea for WrestleMania 41, wanting a singles match with Owens. Later on in the show, this match was made official. Last year, Orton and Owens were both part of a triple threat match for the United States Title at WrestleMania, also involving Logan Paul. It was stated this week by Matt Riddle that the likes of Owens and Sami Zayn were tough to work with.
