Update On Sami Zayn’s Absence From WWE TV

Sami Zayn has been absent from WWE programming ever since his loss to Kevin Owens at the Elimination Chamber 2025 PLE in Toronto, where the former friends clashed in a brutal Unsanctioned Match. Despite teases of a program heading into WrestleMania with Karrion Kross, Zayn has yet to resurface on Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown. 

Fightful Select have issued a small update on Select Answers about where Zayn is, speculating that his absence could be due to the holy month of Ramadan, which is stretched over March, though it is stated that the travel during the European tour could be a contributing factor to Zayn being gone from TV. On his social media, Zayn showed that during his time off he and his wife went on a double date with actor and WWE fan Kieran Culkin and his wife Jazz Charton. There were rumblings online about Zayn asking for time off, but he has since shut that down on X/Twitter.

It is unknown when Zayn will be back, and if he will be factored into plans for WWE WrestleMania 41. It was claimed this past week by former WWE superstar Matt Riddle that the likes of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were ‘hard to work with’.
