Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai Win NXT Women's Tag Team Championships At Stand & Deliver

New NXT Women's Tag Team Champions at Stand & Deliver

Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai are two-time NXT Women's Tag Team Champions.

The reunited friends challenged Toxic Attraction's Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne on the NXT Stand & Deliver Kickoff Show. Both teams fought back and forth until Kai's former tag team partner Wendy Choo interfered by hitting Dolin with a pillow before she doused her in orange soda.

This left Jacy Jayne to fight on alone and Raquel Gonzalez took advantage, decking the Toxic Attraction member with a Chingona Bomb for the victory.

Kai and Gonzalez were the inaugural NXT Women's Tag Team Champions, being handed the belts in March 2021 as a result of their Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic win. They would lose the titles on the same episode of NXT, though, dropping the gold to Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon.

Toxic Attraction had been champions since Halloween Havoc in October. They only defended the titles once before today, though, successfully retaining the championships against Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta at February's Vengeance Day episode of NXT.
