Raquel Gonzalez: WWE NXT 2.0 Changes Have Been Good For The Brand

Gonzalez likes the changes

Raquel Gonzalez says she has been a fan of the changes to NXT during 2021, saying she feels it's good to mix things up.

Gonzalez won the NXT Women's Championship from Io Shirai in April, at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, and dropped the Title to Mandy Rose at Halloween Havoc; an evening that truly saw the NXT 2.0 era take over.

Gonzalez is in favour of change, however, and believes it was the right move to bring in new faces and try different things.

Speaking to Fightful, Gonzalez said: "We try to take it day by day with everything. What I try to do personally is show up every day. Show up, put in my work, and show everyone my passion and why I belong here, and why I dominate in this specific environment.

"I do feel like the new changes and everything that's been happening with NXT 2.0 has been good. Change is good. It's good to mix it up a little and get some fresh blood in there and have these new faces.

"Sometimes, we get stuck doing the same thing so having this little mix and more color and brighter and new people is good for all of us. It pushes us a little bit more and makes us want it more."
