Raquel Rodriguez, Aliyah Win WWE Women's Tag Team Titles On Raw

New champions crowned in the tournament final

Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah are the new WWE Women's Tag Team champions, after defeating Dakota Kai and IYO SKY in a tournament final on Monday's Raw in Pittsburgh.

Late in the match, Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka chased off Bayley, who had gotten involved in the match on Kai and SKY's behalf. With the heels distracted by that development, Aliyah tagged herself in and hid. When SKY and Kai went to double-team Rodriguez (thinking she was the legal participant), Aliyah rolled up Kai for the victory.

The win gives both Rodriguez and Aliyah their first championships on the main roster, and Aliyah's first belt of any sort in WWE. Rodriguez previously reigned as NXT Women's Tag Team champion with Kai, and was also the NXT Women's champion.

Kai, SKY, and Bayley are scheduled to wrestle Belair, Bliss, and Asuka this Saturday at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff.

The Women's Tag Team titles had been vacant since May 20, when Sasha Banks and Naomi were stripped of the belts. Banks and Naomi walked out of the organization four days earlier.
