Sting's in-ring career will come to an end later this week at AEW Revolution when The Icon defends the AEW World Tag Team Championships alongside Darby Allin against The Young Bucks.

Several of Sting's friends have been invited to Revolution and Sting asked Kevin Nash to be at the show. Nash indicated, however, that WWE had blocked him from being in attendance at Revolution.

In an update, though, Nash has clarified why he won't be at Revolution, noting that he isn't on WWE's payroll.

Nash said on his Kliq This podcast: "No, I never said that. What I said was, I'm a WWE guy. I can't have a picture of me of the crowd and underneath it say 'is All Elite.' I just can't have that. It just doesn't work... One of my closest f*****g friends is Paul Levesque. As much as I love Steve, and I know he'll only have one last match, I will watch it. We will talk about it, I just won't... I haven't been to a WrestleMania, a Raw, a SmackDown, or any of the other pay-per-views. I haven't been to any events. I don't want to go to any place and be around a bunch of people, let alone wrestling people. I just don't want to do it. I'm a hermit, and that's it."

Kevin Nash and Sting have a long history together from their time in World Championship Wrestling and TNA. Nash was also involved in Sting's WWE WrestleMania 31 match, interfering on the side of the Stinger as the nWo with Hulk Hogan and Scott Hall.
