Real1 smirks in black and white with a wrestling championship belt over his shoulder

Real1 (fka Enzo Amore) appeared on the July 10 edition of TNA IMPACT in a vignette.

The video - paid for by 4th Rope Promotions - saw the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion riff on his NXT catchphrases then use the term ‘forbidden door’ as he noted how TNA were soon to run Slammiversary in New York on July 20, next to his home state of New Jersey.

Real1 also referenced several incidents from his past, such as when he and Big Bill (fka Big Cass) invaded ROH x NJPW G1 Supercard 2019 in Madison Square Garden, and when he was escorted out of the building after invading WWE Survivor Series 2018.

The vignette was reminiscent of the infamous NWO paid advertisements from the Monday Night Wars. It is as yet unclear what kind of relationship TNA has with 4th Rope Promotions, with the promotion founded and run by rapper Westside Gunn.

A former two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Real1 was fired by the promotion in 2018 after accusations of sexual assault were levelled against him. Since his WWE exit, Real1 has worked for the likes of NJPW, and MLW amongst others.
