Reason For Mick Foley WWE Hell In A Cell 2018 Appearance Revealed

If you're concerned that Mick Foley's involvement in the Roman Reigns/Braun Strowman Universal Championship Hell in a Cell match on Sunday will see the Hardcore Legend take a ridiculous fall, there's no need to be.

, Dave Meltzer noted that Foley's actually not allowed to take any bumps while refereeing the main event, and the reason for his involvement is merely to promote his one man show that airs on the WWE Network immediately following the pay-per-view.

Fans around the world were shocked when Foley interrupted Elias' performance during this week's Raw. After earmarking The Drifter as a future Universal Champion in his own right, the former GM then dropped the bombshell that he'd be refereeing the Reigns/Strowman affair at the behest of Stephanie McMahon. fateful night in the cell against The Undertaker - which celebrated its 20th anniversary a couple of months ago. The announcement was completely out of the blue.

Foley's show on the network is reportedly set to last 90 minutes and was filmed back in June at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Pittsburgh. Featuring former IMPACT supremo Jeremy Borash as the emcee, the show has a live Q&A, and also a performance from Nita Strauss - the lady who belted out that wonderful rendition of Shinsuke Nakamura's theme at WrestleMania 34.
