One of the highlights of SummerSlam 2026 Saturday, and in fact one of the most shocking moments of the night, was when SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis made his entrance for his showdown with Gunther, emerging to the sounds of Oasis’ “Morning Glory” song. Hearing licensed music in WWE in the year of 2026 (especially the voices of the Gallaghers) is a major rarity and was a huge shock, and it instantly made Aldis’ entrance the best of the night.
At the SummerSlam 2026 post-show press conference, Triple H revealed how it came about, explaining that it was a case of WWE openly asking Aldis about what his dream entrance would be in the U.S. Bank Stadium. In response to a question about when the music was sorted out for SummerSlam, Triple H stated;
“A couple of weeks ago, we were talking about music, and I was like, ‘Give me your fantasy. What’s the biggest fantasy?’ He said, ‘What about Oasis?’ ‘Maybe. Let’s see. Meanwhile, let’s work on something else.’ I was thrilled a few days ago to tell him that Oasis was in.”
