WWE filed to trademark 'Romeo Moreno' with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on February 20 and a wrestler in the company has already been given the name.

WWE NXT held a house show in Sanford, Florida on Saturday, February 21. At the show, Romeo Moreno teamed with Malik Blade in a win over Dorian Van Dux and Harlem Lewis. It has since been confirmed that Zozaya will be going by Romeo Moreno within WWE.

Zozaya signed with WWE in 2025 after participating in tryouts during the company's tour of Europe ahead of WrestleMania 41. Zozaya has yet to appear on WWE programming, but he has worked NXT house shows since November.

Zozaya, a Spanish talent, has been wrestling for several years and he quickly became a standout performer on the European independent wrestling scene for the likes of RevPro, PROGRESS, and FFPW. Zozaya also competed for Pro Wrestling NOAH from January 1 to March 2, 2025.

Other WWE signings in 2026 have received their new in-ring names, including Mike D Vecchio who has been renamed Dorian Van Dux, and Nathaniel Cranton who will be going by Tristan Angels moving forward.
