Report: 2K "Happy & Excited" About WWE 2K23

Could another well-received WWE 2K game be on the way?

Following a return to form with WWE 2K22, 2023 could be another strong year for the WWE 2K series.

According to Mike Straw of Insider Gaming, 2K are "happy and excited" about WWE 2K23 and they expect the upcoming title to receive a more positive response than last year's effort.

"Something I've been told about #WWE2K23. 'Internally, people are really happy and excited with how the game is shaping up. They expect a bigger and better response than 22, which already exceeded expectations,'" Straw tweeted.

WWE 2K23 has yet to be officially announced but reports have noted the upcoming video game will be released sometime in March, during the build to WrestleMania 39. A commercial featuring the likes of Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Bad Bunny, and The Miz has already been filmed and it is reportedly scheduled to air during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 28.

WWE's video games were traditionally released in the run-up to Christmas but that release schedule was scrapped after the disastrous WWE 2K20 which prompted the series to go on an 18-month hiatus.
