Report: AAA Wanted Bryan Danielson For TripleMania Regia

No Danielson for AAA, though

While Jay Lethal and Bobby Fish will be in the Five-Way for the AAA Mega Title at TripleMania Regia, Dorian Roldan's promotion originally had their eyes on a bigger All Elite Wrestling star.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AAA originally wanted Bryan Danielson for the December 4 pay-per-view, as well as other major names, but either the timing of the match or the price tag meant a deal never came together.

AEW reportedly offered AAA a list of stars they could use and Fish and Lethal were ultimately the two best names the Mexican promotion could choose from.

While AAA were unable to land Danielson, The American Dragon has been vocal about wanting to wrestle in Mexico in the past, noting his dream to wrestle at a CMLL Anniversary Show.

Along with Fish and Lethal, Samuray Del Sol, El Hijo del Vikingo and ROH World Champion Bandido will fight it out for the vacant AAA Mega Championship on December 4.
