WWE were set to run a four-show tour of Canada between January 21 and January 24, 2022, but the company opted to postpone all four events until later in the year on Thursday.

The tour would have ended with a Monday Night Raw taping from Edmonton on January 24, five days before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view from the America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Edmonton show's close proximity to the Royal Rumble resulted in the Canada tour being cancelled as WWE were concerned about their production trucks and equipment getting stuck if the area was struck by a bad storm.

Although the production trucks would have five days to travel the 1,800 miles from Edmonton to St. Louis, WWE simply didn't want to take the risk.

Canadian fans will instead have to wait until September for the four-date tour, which will run from September 26 until October 2.

WWE are set to return to Canada soon, though, with live events in Toronto, Ontario and Laval, Quebec planned before the end of the year.
