Talks have been rumbling in the last few weeks about a potential new TV deal for TNA, with president Carlos Silva eyeing up a multi-million dollar deal (in and around the ballpark of $10 million) to bring TNA IMPACT to live programming each and every week. It was reported recently that A&E were emerging as a potential frontrunner to secure television rights for the company. A new potential home has now emerged for TNA, per reports.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has noted that alongside A&E, The CW network is also a frontrunner. The CW is the current home of WWE NXT, showing WWE’s developmental brand on Tuesday nights, so Meltzer notes that WWE will likely have been involved in both these parties looking towards a TNA TV deal.
Carlos Silva remarked recently that he hoped to get a deal done in the very near future, with talks advancing and expected to end within a 60 or 90 day window (with this being said at the start of last month), so the expectation is more something to be signed in the next month or so.
