Report: Ace Steel Won't Be At AEW Shows

Ace Steel reportedly won't be present at AEW tapings

In the lead up to the debut episode of AEW Collision, the status of Ace Steel accompanied the rumours and back-and-forth of CM Punk’s return. After being fired following his alleged involvement in ‘Brawl Out’ in which he apparently bit Kenny Omega, Steel was reportedly rehired over the last few months, and was set to help out with creative.

There was some reported controversy regarding this, as CM Punk’s impending return to AEW seemed like it may not happen after it was revealed that he was unhappy about Steel not being backstage at tapings. However, it seems as though this will in fact be the case going forwards, per a report from Fightful Select.

"For those wondering, Ace Steel is in Chicago, but will not be in attendance at Collision, or any AEW shows as of now. He is signed to the company and helping out with CM Punk's storylines."

It isn’t clear how long Steel will remain absent from in-person working with AEW, though for the time being Steel won’t be backstage at any AEW events.
