Report: AEW Could Bring In Ex-WWE Wrestler For All In

AEW could pay homage to SummerSlam 1992 with an ex-WWE wrestler at All In

AEW’s All In event from London, England is set to be a big showcase for the company, with it set to break records and make history. It will be the first time since SummerSlam 1992 that a professional wrestling show has taken place in the world-famous Wembley Stadium, and AEW may be looking to pay homage to that event. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer talked about the possibility of Davey Boy Smith Jr. appearing at the show.

“There’s been a lot of speculation regarding Davey Boy Smith Jr. and the Wembley Stadium show just for an appearance stemming back to the most famous match ever held in the stadium with his father beating his uncle, Bret Hart, for the IC title. As of this moment, he hasn’t been talked to about it. It’s basically if AEW thinks it’s something they want on the show.”

Davey Boy Smith Jr. was working in WWE as recently as 2021, but he was released from his contract without ever making a return to WWE television. He has never appeared in AEW.
