Report: AEW's Long-Term Plans For Konosuke Takeshita Revealed

AEW have big plans for Konosuke Takeshita

Konosuke Takeshita is currently one of the top heels in All Elite Wrestling, having renewed his alliance with Don Callis at Double or Nothing and cost The Elite a victory over Blackpool Combat Club in Anarchy in the Arena at the May 28 pay-per-view.

Takeshita looks to be on a collison course with Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Hangman Page that will likely occupy much of his time on TV for the next several months as Don Callis looks to torment the Best Bout Machine.

While he is a heel for the time being, All Elite Wrestling's long-term plans for Takeshita will see him end up of as one of the top babyfaces in the promotion, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. How long it will take AEW to complete those plans and establish Takeshita as a big babyface is unknown.

After a couple of excursions from DDT Pro Wrestling, Takeshita has been a featured talent in AEW since November 2022. He has since had high-profile matches against the likes of MJF, Sammy Guevara, and Bryan Danielson.
