Major changes are being made to All Elite Wrestling's TV partner Warner Bros. Discovery as plans to split the company were announced on Monday, June 9.

A streaming & studios company will consist of WBD's movie properties and HBO MAX. A global networks organisation will include WBD's TV and sports brands, including CNN, TNT Sports, Discovery, and Bleacher Report. David Zaslav will be the President and CEO of Streaming & Studios, while Gunnar Wiedenfels will be the President and CEO of Global Networks.

The separation is expected to be completed in mid-2026, but BJ Bethel of SEScoops has reported that a source familiar with the contracts between AEW and WBD has stated All Elite Wrestling are likely to be unaffected by the planned split. Fightful Select also reported that as of now, there are no changes planned and AEW remains a big focus for Warner Bros. Discovery. AEW are not at risk of losing their TV deal suddenly.

All Elite Wrestling and WBD have worked together since the pro wrestling promotion was founded in 2019. The two sides agreed to a new media rights deal that came into effect at the start of 2025 and AEW Dynamite and Collision have continued to air on TBS and TNT respectively, while the shows have been simulcast on MAX. The deal is worth $555 million through the end of 2027 and there is an option for a fourth year that would provide a substantial monetary increase for AEW.
