Report: AEW Wrestler Agrees Short-Term Contract Extension

An AEW wrestler will be sticking around for the next few months at the very least

Along with the news of some recent departures from AEW, there is some positive news on the contract side. Per a report from Fightful Select, QT Marshall has agreed to a short-term contract extension.

This will keep Marshall in AEW through 2023. It was also noted in the report that Marshall was actually working in AEW without a performers deal recently;

“Marshall has continued working for AEW after a brief vacation, however, we’re told that his AEW talent contract actually was up and he was working without one. Marshall had been in the process of negotiating an extension with All Elite Wrestling that would keep him around as a performer, in addition to still performing his VP duties, which included him producing Jade Cargill’s last match in AEW. Marshall’s deal with AEW will go through 2023. Marshall is also with AEW as a VP, and is responsible for numerous things backstage. He’s never had a separate contract that we’ve heard of for those duties.”

Marshall hasn’t actually competed in AEW for a month, and this could explain why given that he was working without a talent contract.
