Multiple Names Release Statements On WWE Departures

Some of those involved in WWE's layoffs have released statements

The last 24 hours has seen a lot of departures from WWE following the WWE-UFC merger, with several departments being cut wide open with layoffs. Some names have made statements about leaving WWE, and these include the former Director of Enterprise Master Data & Governance Amanda Bloom and former Digital Campaign Manager Alexa Gotthardt.

On LinkedIn, Bloom has this to say.

“A day I’m not sure I thought would ever come: I am among those affected by WWE’s layoffs today, and am updating my profile to #opentowork. I have been at WWE almost 8 years, more than twice as long as I've been at any other company, and by any measure my tenure has been an enormous success.”

She went on to advertise her talents, listing all the things she has done during her time in the promotion from a skillset standpoint.

Gotthardt also made a statement via LinkedIn

“I was on the #WWE / #TKO list nobody wanted to be on today.

Even though I can’t stay, I’ve got some epic memories to carry me through. It wasn't just rolling out and optimizing partners' digital campaigns- I got to enjoy so many more laughs and learnings with the team. From working with some of the best talent around, to writing some of the funniest social media copy we’ll ever think of, being able to help at productions, appearances or even to wrangling a French Bulldog- it’s been a very memorable time! Please let me know if you happen to hear of an opening anywhere; I pride myself on being creative yet organized and am looking forward to continuing my career in a similar role.”

There will likely be even more of these sorts of statements made over the next several days with a mass of layoffs.
