Report: Asuka's WWE Return Plans Revealed

Asuka's WWE return could be imminent

Mustafa Ali might not be the only WWE talent returning on tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw from Knoxville, Tennessee.

Fightful Select have reported that 'imminent plans' are in place for Asuka to return to WWE's red brand and that as of last weekend, she was scheduled to begin a short-term storyline with Becky Lynch as soon as Monday's episode of Raw.

It was noted, though, that changes to Raw are a common occurrence until the show goes on the air.

The popular WWE talent has been out of action with a shoulder injury since July 2021's Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match. There have been numerous pitches about Asuka's return and her availability was discussed for the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble but that plan was quickly quashed as The Empress Of Tomorrow wasn't believed to be ready to return.

Instead, spring was earmarked as more likely for Asuka and WWE officials were said to be looking forward to the former Women's Champion coming back to TV.
