Report: Backstage News On Anna Jay's Injury

The Dark Order star will be out for 6-12 months

All Elite Wrestling announced on Monday that Anna Jay had suffered a shoulder injury that requires surgery. She will be out of action for 6-12 months.

The Dark Order member was scheduled to face Britt Baker in the first round of the AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Tournament yesterday, but she was replaced by Thunder Rosa student Madi Wrenkowski.

According to Fightful Select, Jay injured her shoulder over a month ago which resulted in changes to an AEW Dark taping. Jay has remained out of action since then because she and AEW hoped the injury wasn't as serious as it ultimately was, but the problem was recently aggravated.

The 22-year-old debuted in AEW back in April 2020 and was later signed by the promotion. She joined Dark Order not long after and has picked up wins over the likes of Brandi Rhodes and Red Velvet in singles action. Jay has also formed a friendship with Tay Conti and they have a 2-1 record as a tag team.
