During a packed edition of AEW Dynamite that saw everything from Katsuyori Shibata to Rick Ross making appearances, all talk was on the AEW debut of Jeff Jarrett, as ‘Double J’ hit Darby Allin with El Kabong before revealing he was in cahoots with Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and company.

Tony Khan later announced that Jarrett was officially ‘all elite’ and was signed on as the Director of Business Development, with a new report from PWInsider potentially shedding some light on Jarrett’s hiring.

The report suggests that Jarrett was brought in to AEW in-part due to his experience with overseas markets, with Jarrett running Ring Ka King and forging TNA TV deals in India, whilst TNA’s successful expansion into the UK was also notably whilst Jarrett was a driving force in the company.

AEW President Tony Khan has long teased international touring dates for AEW, with a UK debut at Fulham’s Craven Cottage talked about by the company on multiple occasions.

As for Jarrett’s on screen role, it seems that all roads are leading to some sort of Sting vs. Jarrett match, with the likelihood being Jarrett and Lethal vs. Sting and Darby at some point.
