Report: Backstage News On Jungle Boy's AEW: Dynamite Match Against Dax Harwood

The match was widely praised

On this week's edition of AEW: Dynamite, Jungle Boy went one on one with Dax Harwood in a widely praised match. The former AEW World Tag Team Champion repeatedly cut off Jungle Boy's offence throughout the bout, but the Jurassic Express member eventually managed to gain the upper hand and lock in an STF for the submission victory.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer, Harwood put together and pitched the angle to Tony Khan with the goal of making Jungle Boy come across as a "superstar babyface." Jungle Jack is well regarded as being a great athlete but the idea was for him to make a big comeback and pick up a decisive win over Dax The Axe, who had yet to be pinned or submitted in All Elite Wrestling.

The rivalry between FTR and Jurassic Express looks set to continue in the weeks ahead and both teams will be involved in the AEW Tag Team Battle Royal next week at Beach Break.
