Report: Backstage News On WWE's Preparation For Royal Rumble

WWE's first premium live event of 2023 will be a big one

A new report has shed some light on WWE's plans for the upcoming Royal Rumble weekend.

PWInsider noted that Royal Rumble weekend will be an 'all hands on deck' weekend for the company. Additionally, lots of talent who may not necessarily be working the show itself will be brought into San Antonio to do media and film things for WWE Network projects.

The report went on to say that there has been talk that some NIL talents will be brought in for the weekend, too.

Royal Rumble 2023 takes place on Saturday, January 28. As well as the two Rumble matches, there are several other major bouts currently booked for the event.

Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Kevin Owens, Alexa Bliss will challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women's Title and Bray Wyatt will clash with LA Knight in a Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match.

WWE CEO Nick Khan recently revealed on The Bill Simmons Podcast that the premium live event will be the highest-grossing Royal Rumble in company history.
