Report: Backstage News On WWE's WrestleMania 38 Plans For Ronda Rousey
Rousey returned at the Royal Rumble
This past weekend saw Ronda Rousey make her triumphant WWE return, appearing for the company for the first time since 2019, winning the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble.
Whilst it seem obvious that Rousey will take on SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38, a report from Fightful Select has shed some more light on the potential main event clash between the two.
Fightful reports that the two are indeed set to clash at Mania, with Bianca Belair vs. RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch set to be the other women’s title match at Mania, although card is always subject to change. Furthermore, it is believed that Charlotte Flair herself has been pushing for a feud with Rousey for months, with WWE persistent in trying to confirm Rousey’s return plans after she gave birth to her first child in 2021.
Flair and Rousey famously fought in the main event of WrestleMania 35, in a triple threat match that saw Becky Lynch leave victorious with both the WWE RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships.
