Report: Backstage Reaction To Carmelo Hayes' WWE Raw Debut Revealed

WWE look to be happy with Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes has seen his presence on WWE TV grow over the past week and the NXT Champion made his main roster debut on June 26, appearing on that night's edition of Monday Night Raw. Hayes first prevented Finn Balor from hitting Seth Rollins with a steel chair and the NXT Champion later went one-on-one with Balor, losing to The Prince after a Coupe de Grace.

The reaction to Hayes' Raw debut looks to have been positive. Better Wrestling Experience has reported that everyone was excited for Hayes before his Raw debut and the NXT Champion was met with applause upon walking back to the Gorilla position after his match with Balor.

Hayes looks set to be a featured performer on WWE TV for years to come, with WWE reportedly feeling Hayes has the potential to be a major player in the company.

If Hayes will make further appearances on Monday Night Raw remains to be seen but Rhea Ripley confronted him at NXT Gold Rush, telling the champion to stay out of Judgment Day's business.
