Report: Bandido Offered AEW Contract

Could Bandido join AEW?

The September 28 edition of AEW Dynamite saw new ROH World Champion Chris Jericho successfully defend the strap for the first time against former champion Bandido.

Bandido put in an impressive shift during the match, earning rave reviews from fans online, and getting an uncharacteristically quiet Philadelphia crowd to cheer him loudly.

Now, a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that AEW offered Bandido a contract immediately after the conclusion of the match, but there is no word as of yet if he has signed with the promotion.

Videos surfaced on social media of Bandido giving AEW President Tony Khan a massive hug after the bout, with Khan excitedly praising Bandido on the house mic.

Bandido is a former PWG World Champion and Battle of Los Angeles winner, having won the influential indy tournament in 2019. As well as ROH, AEW, and PWG, Bandido has also wrestled for both CMLL and AAA in Mexico, as well as The Crash, and NJPW, amongst others.
