Report: Batista To Headline 2023 WWE Hall Of Fame

Big Dave will be inducted three years after it was originally planned

Former WWE star Batista recently said he would like to be inducted into the company's Hall of Fame this year and, according to a new report, he could well get his wish.

Per a report from WrestlingNews.co's Patreon page, The Animal is likely to be the headline inductee at this year's ceremony.

The reported noted that "the word going around in WWE is that Dave Bautista will be the headliner at this year's WWE Hall Of Fame". The Los Angeles location would certainly be apt, considering Batista's flourishing career in the film industry.

Batista was scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2020, but that year's ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was then scheduled to be inducted in a joint ceremony with the 2020 & 2021 classes during WrestleMania 37 weekend, but was unable to attend and requested to be inducted at a future ceremony.

The former WWE Champion wrestled for WWE full-time between 2002 and 2010. He returned in 2014 for a short run that saw him win the Royal Rumble and main-event WrestleMania, before coming back for a programme with Triple H in 2019.

That culminated with a No Holds Barred match loss to his former Evolution teammate at WrestleMania 35, after which Big Dave declared he was retired from wrestling.
