Report: Braun Strowman Suffered A Knee Injury At WWE Survivor Series

Will The Monster be at TLC...

Earlier this week, Dave Meltzer reported Drew McIntyre was scheduled to defend the WWE Championship against Braun Strowman at the upcoming TLC pay-per-view.

However, the match appeared unlikely in storyline as Strowman was suspended following this week's Raw and he wasn't involved in the number one contender's tournament. Keith Lee, Riddle and AJ Styles will face off on next week's show to crown the number one contender.

Meltzer provided an update on the situation in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He noted Strowman suffered a knee injury at Survivor Series, but the severity of the injury is unknown. The former Universal Champion was getting the knee "worked on" when he was in the gym, but Superstars have often wrestled when injured.

This leaves the status of the title match at TLC unclear. One source in WWE told Meltzer the suspension angle was to write the former Universal Champion off TV so he could recover, but others in the company are under the impression that the match is still set for the pay-per-view regardless of what happened on Monday's Raw.
