Report: Positive COVID-19 Test At Recent IMPACT Wrestling Tapings

Talent were "very hot" about the situation...

IMPACT Wrestling held their latest set of TV tapings last week and filmed all episodes of IMPACT for the rest of the year.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there was a positive COVID-19 test at the tapings. Wrestlers who were in close contact with the individual were told to get tested but other talent were not notified and were "very hot" about hearing the news through gossip.

Meltzer noted IMPACT hasn't introduced COVID-19 testing for tapings and has just been relying on temperature checks to this point. One talent mentioned they were the only major company not testing wrestlers, which they thought was "very irresponsible."

WWE had a major coronavirus outbreak in June when they were only doing temperature checks. 38 people reportedly tested positive and Renee Young, Kayla Braxton, Jamie Noble and Adam Pearce all disclosed their positive tests through social media. As a result of Young's positive test, her husband Jon Moxley's AEW World Championship defence against Brian Cage was pushed back to Fight For The Fallen on July 15.
