Teaser Airs For 'Speedball' Mike Bailey In AEW

It had been reported for a couple of months, but it is now official that ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey is All Elite, as the company has begun the build to his arrival in the company. 

The former 3-time TNA X-Division Champion finished up with TNA last year, with it being reported very soon after that he was expected to be AEW bound , though his deal with the company did not expire officially until January 2025. There was some belief that he would be competing in the 2024 AEW Continental Classic, but this was shut down quickly at the time, with it uncertain when Bailey would eventually surface on AEW programming. 

It was revealed this past week that the reason for the delay on Bailey’s arrival was due to him sorting out his visa. It seems as though these issues are finally sorted as last night’s episode of AEW Collision saw a teaser video air for his AEW debut. Tony Khan would then also hype up his impending arrival in a post on X. It is noted by Fightful Select that there was interest from both AEW and WWE in Bailey, but he was quickly signed to AEW in January. In terms of his visa, Fightful Select have also explained that it is now in the approval process, so AEW decided to push forth with this vignette.
