On the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland laid out a challenge to the collection of heels including The Elite, Death Riders, and Gabe Kidd, signalling the return of Anarchy In The Arena for the upcoming Double Or Nothing 2025 PPV, which takes place on May 25 at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
At the time of Strickland’s challenge, the maths didn’t exactly add up in terms of the babyface and heel divide, so it was unclear which wrestlers would be stepping up to the plate for the annual Anarchy In The Arena match. Fightful Select have learned some more on potential plans for the bout. In asking the company, it was implied that The Elite’s Kazuchika Okada would not be in the match, instead defending his Continental Championship against ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey.
In terms of the field for the multi-person clash, it is expected that Swerve Strickland, Kenny Omega, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and Willow Nightingale will team up to take on Jon Moxley, The Young Bucks, Marina Shafir & Gabe Kidd. It was also a potential plan to have Claudio Castagnoli and Katsuyori Shibata join the fray too, though nothing was hinted at about the potential involvement of either Wheeler Yuta or Hook.
