Report: Bret Hart Heavily Involved With Indy Promotion

Bret Hart involved in his local pro wrestling scene

While Bret Hart only makes sporadic appearances on WWE TV, that doesn't mean The Hitman isn't still deeply involved in the industry.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Hart is heavily involved with independent promotion Dungeon Wrestling, which was launched by his sons' Blade and Dallas Hart, and Kid Chocolate in April 2022. The promotion is based out of the Hart Family's hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and shows are said to be a throwback to Stampede Wrestling, the company that was headed by Stu Hart during the territory era of pro wrestling.

Dungeon Wrestling held their second event on October 29 in front of 450 fans at the Victoria Pavilion. Nick Aldis defeated Harry Smith in the main event to win the Stu Hart Heritage Championship. Other talents on the show included The Billington Bulldogs (the nephews of Dynamite Kid), Chris Masters, The Bollywood Boyz, Rohan, and Brian Pillman Jr.

Outside of Calgary, Bret Hart has been on the 2022 Hart Attack Tour with Big Time Wrestling and he has appeared at the promotion's recent shows with FTR and others.
