Report: Brock Lesnar Went Off Script At WWE Elimination Chamber

No pod will stand in Lesnar's way

Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do.

The Beast Incarnate was in action inside a WWE ring once again on Saturday, February 19 as he challenged for the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber alongside AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Riddle and Austin Theory.

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley was removed from the match during the opening minutes, though, after Seth Rollins Powerbombed Austin Theory through Lashley's pod. It was announced on commentary that Lashley had been placed into concussion protocol, while in reality, he is taking time off to undergo shoulder surgery.

Following Lashley's removal, the pod selection actually landed on the WWE Champion, with Brock Lesnar still waiting to enter the match. The Beast wasn't willing to wait, though, and Lesnar proceeded to kick out the glass in his pod and enter the ring early before he proceeded to eliminate the remainder of the field within minutes to capture his seventh WWE Title.

Lesnar entering the match so early wasn't planned, though, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider and the former UFC Heavyweight Champion decided to legitimately break out of his Elimination Chamber pod just so he could enter the action.

There is no word on why Lesnar decided to do so, though.
