Report: Original Finish Of Women's WWE Elimination Chamber Match Revealed

A different finish was originally on the cards

WWE held their latest women's Elimination Chamber Match on Saturday at the namesake pay-per-view in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Doudrop, Liv Morgan and Nikki ASH were all involved in the match as they fought for a Raw Women's Title shot at WrestleMania 38. Belair was ultimately the Superstar to walk away with the victory after she decked Alexa Bliss with a KOD and pinned her clean in the middle of the ring in the five-time Women's Champion's return match.

The original plan for the match called for a different finish, though.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the originally discussed finish for the Elimination Chamber match was to do a double pin between Bianca Belair and Alexa Bliss and Belair would have got her shoulder up at the last second to win.

The original finish was designed to protect Alexa Bliss, with it being the fiendish character's first match since September, but WWE switched the result to Belair winning clean to make her look strong ahead of her WrestleMania 38 match.

At The Showcase Of The Immortals, Belair will challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw Women's Title. Lynch retained her title at Elimination Chamber against Lita.
