Report: Bron Breakker To Be Pushed On WWE NXT 2.0 In Coming Weeks

A push for the second-generation wrestler

Bron Breakker, son of Rick Steiner, was prominently featured on the relaunched NXT 2.0 show earlier this week.

The second-generation wrestler was involved in the opening contest of NXT 2.0 and he picked up a quick win over established star LA Knight. Breakker then appeared in the show-closing segment, going face-to-face with new NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, which suggested he will be featured at the top of the card alongside fellow NXT debutant Von Wagner, who competed in the NXT Title Fatal 4-Way.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, fans can expect Breakker to get "quite the push" in the coming weeks. There is no word on if he will challenge Ciampa for the NXT Championship, though.

Breakker was initially set to be named Rex Steiner, firmly establishing him as the son of Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott Steiner. WWE opted to rename him Bron Breakker shortly before NXT, though.

A source told PWInsider this was likely done because WWE likes to create and own the trademarks of their Superstars' ring names.
