Bruce Prichard is set to resume his duties within WWE and his return to the company is imminent, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

Johnson noted that the expectation is Prichard will be back with WWE as soon as this week, possibly beginning with tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Prichard had been on temporary leave from WWE in recent months due to a family emergency.

Bruce Prichard continues to be a key behind-the-scenes figure in WWE as the company's Executive Director - CWT. Prichard works on WWE creative directly under WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

Prichard was a close confidante of Vince McMahon across multiple stints with WWE stretching back to 1987. Prichard was so close to McMahon that he defended the former WWE CEO only two days before Janel Grant accused McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse in a lawsuit filed against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis.

Former WWE star Ronda Rousey claimed in 2024 that Vince McMahon would continue to have influence in WWE for as long as Bruce Prichard was around.

Beyond WWE, Bruce Prichard has been involved in JBL's creative, with John Layfield calling Prichard the mastermind behind his current storyline.
