Tiffany Stratton Cashes In, Becomes New WWE Women's Champion
We have a brand new WWE Women's Champion!
Jan 4, 2025
It is finally Tiffy Time! On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which marked the very first episode of 2025 and the change to the blue brand being three hours, a major title change took place.
WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax defended her gold against Noami, with the pair slugging it out for nearly 20 minutes. During the match, Miss Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton emerged and teased a cash in, allowing Candice LeRae to distract the referee. Stratton then walloped Naomi with the Money In The Bank briefcase, helping Jax to score the win and retain.
Chaos ensued after the bell, with Jax & LeRae taking it to Bianca Belair. Stratton then shocked the fans as she turned on LeRae, followed up by Naomi’s tag team partner and one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair landing a KOD on Jax, before then getting attacked by Stratton herself. Stratton saw her opportunity and cashed in her Money In The Bank contract, hitting the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on the prone Jax and winning the WWE Women’s Championship for the first time in her career.
