Report: Bryan Danielson To Potentially Make AEW Return For WrestleDream

Bryan Danielson could be back for AEW WrestleDream

All Elite Wrestling are set to hold their first WrestleDream pay-per-view on October 1, with the Antonio Inoki tribute show set for Seattle, Washington.

Whilst no details of potential matches have been leaked, a new report suggests that Bryan Danielson could be eyeing a return at the event.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, whilst Danielson would need a ‘photo finish’ to return in time for the show on October 1, it seems likely that Danielson would target a return in front of a hometown crowd. After suffering an injury to Kazuchika Okada during their hard-hitting main event clash at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II, early estimates suggested Danielson could be back in the ring by October.

A Danielson return would certainly be a boon for AEW, with it currently not known how long headline star CM Punk will be suspended for after his All In fight with Jack Perry, and also due to the fact that many high-profile New Japan stars are not expected to be wrestling at WrestleDream due to NJPW running a Korakuen Hall show on the same day.
