Report: Candice LeRae’s WWE Contract Expiring In 2022

LeRae's contract allegedly not lining up with Johnny Gargano's

With the recent news that Johnny Gargano’s WWE contract is set to expire on December 3 2021, it is now being reported that Candice LeRae’s contract is also expiring, but not until 2022.

Per a report from Fightful Select, LeRae and Gargano’s deals don’t ‘match up’ time wise, and Candice is not expected to have her contract frozen during her pregnancy.

LeRae is also said to have requested to work on screen for long as she is physically able to during her pregnancy, and indeed she has been a constant presence on NXT despite not wrestling since early July, with Fightful’s report adding that NXT have ‘been happy with her performance both in and out of the ring’.

Candice LeRae joined WWE NXT in May 2017, and has held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, reigning with The Way partner Indi Hartwell for 63 days earlier this Summer.

Pre-WWE, LeRae was a fixture on the American independent scene, notably wrestling many inter-gender matches, including a feud with Adam Cole in PWG.
