Report: Champion Done With IMPACT, Likely Heading To AEW Or WWE

An IMPACT Champion Is Reportedly Done With The Promotion, With AEW Or WWE As A Likely Next Destination

Taya Valkyrie is currently a champion in various promotions, as she is one-half of the IMPACT Knockouts Champions, the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Champion, and also the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion. However, she is reportedly set for a change.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer commented on Valkyrie’s status, with her on the verge of a move elsewhere in the professional wrestling world:

“Valkyrie finished up with Impact as she was working with both companies [Impact and MLW] and on occasion AAA, where she still holds their Reina de Reinas title. She is not committed [to MLW] for a long time either. She is likely going to AEW or WWE and whichever one is supposed to be made clear within a short period of time.”

Valkyrie is currently scheduled to defend two of her current titles in the coming weeks, meaning that she may likely be dropping gold soon. Her next destination isn’t 100% set in stone, though it should be noted that AEW’s Jade Cargill issued an open challenge for the TBS Championship to any Canadian, so Valkyrie fits the bill there. She has never competed in AEW before, but has previously wrestled in WWE NXT under the name of Franky Monet.
