Club WWE - a subscription service for WWE superfans - was promoted heavily by the company ahead of its launch earlier this year, with John Cena claiming ahead of Backlash 2026, where he would make the announcement to launch the programme, that what he was going to announce would be "history-making" and "shock the very foundation of WWE."
So far, though, Club WWE has simply been a membership programme that costs fans $99 per year and WWE have received a multitude of complaints, both internal and external, about the subscription service, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
"We are told WWE has received a number of complaints from fans who subscribe to Club WWE after the initial founder's package arrived to members last week. According to a source, WWE has heard a multitude of complaints and frustrations both internally and online regarding the rollout and the perks and benefits associated with joining the exclusive club... Additionally, we are told there is internal frustration surrounding the rollout and overall usage of the club, with the source describing the process as disorganised and by-and-large uneventful," WrestleVotes Radio said.
The founder's package that received so much criticism consisted of a plastic plaque with a Club WWE logo on the front and a piece of ring canvas on the back with no information on where the match-used canvas was from, a Club WWE lanyard, and a Club WWE pin with a printed-on signed note from John Cena on the back of the box that reads: "I've had the privilege of performing for the best fans in the world, and I mean that without hesitation. You've given me more than I could ever give back, but Club WWE is a start. This is WWE saying thank you in a real, tangible way. We built this for you, but I’m glad you’re here."
Club WWE also provides fans with access to a members-only shop, a points and rewards hub, early access to WWE tickets, a chat room that sometimes features WWE wrestlers, and exclusive content.
Some of that exclusive content so far has been Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Women’s World Title win against Liv Morgan at a house show in Chile and four random episodes of Monday Night Raw. Those episodes were the September 14, 2009, edition of Raw where Batista returned to face Randy Orton, the September 20, 2010, edition of the show where John Cena faced the Nexus in a Gauntlet Match, the August 18, 2014, episode that saw The Authority present Brock Lesnar with the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt, and the August 29, 2016, episode of Raw in which Kevin Owens won the Universal Title after Triple H turned on Seth Rollins.
Other exclusive content has included an interview with John Cena, Maxxine Dupri doing pilates, a Danhausen cooking show, and Kit Wilson deciding whether certain things or people are toxic. Members can also vote for who they want on the cover of WWE 2K27.
