Report: Cody Rhodes Potentially Lining Up Hollywood Roles

Cody Rhodes has been a hit since his 2022 WWE return, going on to have a five-star classic with Seth Rollins, winning the 2023 Royal Rumble, and main eventing WrestleMania 39 against the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. His trip to Los Angeles for WrestleMania 39 reportedly ended up being more successful than his loss in the main event would indicate. 

Fightful Select has reported that Cody Rhodes could well have Hollywood in his future, with roles in movies potentially in the offing. The report states;

“Sources familiar with the situation claim that the WWE WrestleMania main eventer made the most of this time in Los Angeles and had some meetings regarding potential roles in film and television. There was discussion of him being linked or particularly interested in the Johnny Cage role in an upcoming Mortal Kombat movie, which The Miz has also been angling for. There was also discussion regarding a connection to a potential upcoming Zelda film.” 

Rhodes is no stranger to acting, with his more prominent roles including when he played the villain “Stardust” Derek Sampson in the TV series Arrow, in addition to other television appearances as himself on Rhodes To The Top and the Go-Big Show.
