Report: Damian Priest Considered A 'Potential Main Eventer' Within WWE

WWE views Damian Priest as a potential main eventer

Damian Priest has had a big month in WWE. After stealing the show at the Backlash 2023 PPV alongside Bad Bunny, apparent praise from backstage WWE officials was reported. There has been a further indication on how those in the back now view Priest, with a report from WRKD Wrestling on twitter implying that he could be set for big things.

“Priest has been mentioned in creative as a “potential main eventer” after putting on an incredibly well received match with Bad Bunny.”

After his match with Bunny at Backlash, Priest was involved in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament, coming up short in a triple threat match against the eventual tournament winner of Seth Rollins, in addition to Shinsuke Nakamura. Priest bounced back with a win the following week as he and Finn Balor won a non-title match against the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens. This could mark a switch in fortunes for Priest now if these reports are anything to go by, with it also being reported that he is slated to appear in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match next month.
